Leadership
Grant Reformed Church is standing firm on Scripture.
In July 2022, our congregation voted to leave the Reformed Church of America (RCA) and join the Alliance of Reformed Churches. The Alliance is a denomination of churches that came out of the RCA to go back to the core principles of the Christian faith and the missional call of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Grant Reformed Church is an old new church. We’re one of the oldest churches in Newaygo County. Our church started in the country in 1906 and moved to the corner of 120th and Elder. For 116 years, we served the residents of Grant with the preaching of the Word, fellowship, provision, and theological education. Grant Reformed Church is unique. Everyone knows everyone by name, and we pray for each other regularly. We are an especially caring community. By joining the Alliance of Reformed Churches, we can maintain biblical integrity and freedom to preach the Word of God and honor God by following a biblical definition of marriage. In these trying times, our culture we felt especially compelled to take a stand to preserve our church for the next generation. As a result of this transition, we can genuinely say our church is healthier and more united than ever around the Word of God.
As we announce this transition, we are also extending an invitation to you personally to come and worship with us. We strive to worship in Spirit and truth as we follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We believe we offer solid theological education and a godly community that is challenged by the truth of the Bible, we hope you consider joining with us.
Warm Regards,
The Leadership of Grant Reformed Church
